Repair, Calibration and Training Services
The Dubai Technical Centre is specialized, application focused laboratory that fully supports the equipment supplied by Haris Al Afaq. The Technical Centre can calibrate most Electrical, Temperature, Pressure, Acoustics/Sound, Laser Distance test equipment’s.

The temperature and humidity-controlled laboratory is based on an automated Fluke Calibration Software System consisting of standards which are calibrated as per 17025 Accreditation.
The entire system works with Metrology Software designed to support ISO17025 requirements. Each year the calibration standards are shipped to the Netherlands/UK for annual recalibration maintaining traceability to the Dutch/UKAS Accreditation. Annual recalibration of our standards helps maintain their optimal performance to confirm to technical specifications.
Our Technical Centres are both Fluke and Megger Service certified centres and authorized by these suppliers to provide front-line repair and calibration facilities to their product lines. We do routine maintenance and servicing of instruments, product repairs, functional upgrades and software updates. Our trained technician has access to factory diagnostic procedures, service alerts /notes, software/firmware upgrades.
Anything that cannot be repaired locally can, of course, be sent back to the respective supplier’s comprehensive facilities in Europe or the US.
Haris Al Afaq offers a range of professional services for customer in Middle East. We have highly trained team of application engineers who provides technical support, on-site demos, installation, implementation and training to customers. Below are the services offered by our technical division.

We carry a substantial number of the latest high-end products with us for demonstration purposes. Our trained technicians can visit you with the product and demonstrate these items at your site with your equipment.
Additionally, our suppliers periodically ship out new models, or the very expensive high-end products on a loan basis to us, to demonstrate on-site to our customers.
The Technical Center arranges periodic courses on specialist subjects through our partners in UK such as:
- Thermography Level 1 Courses
- Thermography Level 2 Courses
- Power Quality Courses
These courses are usually run over a one-week period at a suitable venue in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. An on-site training can also be arranged at customers site with a larger student load.

As we believe in providing complete support to our valuable customers we have set up two state-of-the-art calibration centers in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This ISO 9001 certified centre is authorized by several of our major principals (such as Fluke) and consequently also falls under the umbrella of their respective ISO certifications. We periodically undergo an audit by these principals to verify conformity to their standards and high level of quality.
To fully support the equipment supplied by Haris Al Afaq, the Technical Center can calibrate most Electrical, Temperature and Pressure Test Equipment.
The temperature and humidity controlled laboratory is based around an automated Fluke Calibration Systems consisting of:
- Fluke 5522A Multiproduct Calibrator with oscilloscope and power quality options.
- Fluke 5320A Electrical Tester Calibrator
- Fluke 8846A 61/2-digit Multimeter
- Biddle Decade Resistance Box
The entire system works with Metrology Software designed to support ISO 9001 requirements as well as MIL STD 45662A requirements. Each year the main calibration standards are shipped to the Netherlands for annual re-calibration maintaining traceability and reverse traceability to the Dutch NKO standards.
In addition to the above we have recently augmented our capabilities by adding a comprehensive range of Temperature calibration solutions:

- Fluke dual channel precision thermometer readout with Platinum Resistance Thermometer
- Fluke Metrology well

Any products that we cannot calibrate in house can be shipped back to calibration labs in Europe that we have relationships with. The Service centre is authorised to service and repair both Fluke and Megger instruments. Any items that can’t be repaired locally can be shipped at a minimal cost to the manufacturer for repairs.
